Juvenile and Junior Training
Training for our younger athletes (generally aged 6-11) is held on Monday at 6.30pm - 7.30pm in Coolgreany Community Field. Locations for older athletes (aged 12-18) can vary depending on specific events that they are training for. All our coaches are Garda Vetted and Child Welfare is a key priority for the club. Senior Training
Our senior athletes train in Gorey Town Park from 7pm - 8pm every Tuesday and Thursday evening. Sessions include speed training, hill reps and tempo. Long runs are done at a more ‘leisurely’ pace on Sunday morning and often followed by a coffee in the Ashdown Park Hotel.
Potential new members are welcome to drop into training any Tuesday or Thursday and join the group for up to three sessions before officially joining the club. If you’re interested just email us to let us know you’re coming.
Couch to 5KM and Club Buddy Programmes
The 2026 Couch to 5KM programme ran from 5th May to 27th June and helped over 30 people start or return to running. The C25K programme runs every two years. If you missed the programme and want to get started just send us an email and we’ll connect you with a ‘club buddy’ to guide you through the programme on a one to one basis.
Past participants of these programmes have gone on to compete on behalf of the club in county races, complete half marathons and even full marathons.
