Who we are

Croghan AC was founded in  2012 in the village of Coolgreany, North Wexford and quickly expanded to cover the surrounding areas.  Our thriving club now includes over 180 Senior and Juvenile members.

Our Juvenile members range in age from 7-17 and compete in a range of Track & Field events. They’ve been successful at county, Leinster and national competitions. We provide a high standard of training in a fun and safe environment and expect parents to get involved. Coaching training is provided in partnership with Athletics Ireland.

Our Senior membership includes a diverse range of abilities and aims to ensure that all athletes from 5KM to Ultra Marathon runners have a group to run with and the necessary support to improve both pace and endurance.

Croghan AC has signed a License Agreement with Wexford County Council as the anchor athletics club for the County’s new €10m East Coast Sports & Activity Hub which will be built in Gorey. We were delighted to be part of the Working Group which secured funding for this project alongside Wexford County Council and our partners in minority sports, Gorey Cricket and Gorey Hockey Clubs. Phase 1 of the new facility will include a 400m running track, a hockey pitch and a cricket ground and will provide much needed sports infrastructure for north Wexford.
