Strong Performances from our Juvenile & Junior Athletes at South Leinster and East Leinster Schools Championships
Our local area was proudly represented at the recent South Leinster and East Leinster Schools Championships, with athletes competing for Gorey Community School, Gorey Educate Together Secondary School, Creagh College, and St Mary’s College, Arklow.
Representing Gorey Community School were Ruby Gallagher O’Reilly, Ornaith Halford, Noah Keane, and Ciara Byrne. Congratulations to Ruby Noah, and Ornaith, who all won medals at the South Leinster Championships.
Ruby continued her excellent form at the Leinster Schools Championships, claiming bronze in the Senior Girls’ 400m Hurdles and finishing 5th in the Senior Girls’ 800m.
Noah Keane also performed superbly at the Leinster Schools Championships, finishing 5th in the Minor Boys’ 1100m.
Also representing the local area were Siún Byrne for St Mary’s College, Arklow, Alex O’Reilly for Creagh College, and Laurene Clermont for Gorey Educate Together Secondary School.
It was fantastic to see such strong representation and success from our young athletes across these schools championships.
